How to Cut an MP3
Cutting a section out of an MP3 takes three steps. The editor is pre-opened on the Trim tool, which is where cutting happens.

What is the difference between cutting and trimming an MP3?
Cutting removes a section from the middle of the file and joins the parts around it together. Trimming keeps only the section you selected and removes everything before and after it. Both are available on the Trim tool tab.
How do I cut a song into two parts?
Use the Split tool instead: select the point in the song where you want the cut, and the audio is divided into separate tracks. You can then export each part on its own.
Can I remove silence or ads from an MP3?
Yes. Select the silent passage or advertisement on the waveform and click "Delete selected". The surrounding audio is joined together seamlessly.
Will cutting an MP3 damage the audio quality?
No. The cut simply removes a region of audio; the parts you keep are unchanged. Any quality loss depends only on the bitrate you choose when you export.
